Perry arrived in Manila last Friday, March 14. I borrowed my aunt's car to meet him at the airport so that he could see his grand daughter for the first time. I accompanied them to duty free to do some last minute shopping, after which we went our separate ways. The entire time I was with Perry which was like an hour, I only uttered several phrases... "Yo!" when I saw him and " sige ingat, at salamat" when we were about to part ways. I guess there's nothing to talk about anymore. We used to talk about financial matters when I was still asking money from him before. But lately I've been earning a substantial salary and getting to be more stable as the months pass. I've lost the need to ask financial assistance from him. Basically, that killed our relationship... kinda funny isn't it? Outside the perennial act of asking money from him, it's just small talk, mostly about nothing significant. Now that he's here in the Philippines, I find it harder to talk to him, 'cause there's nothing to talk about. I'm also busy with my work, since my career has been picking up in the recent months. Personally I think this is the end of the road as far as our father-son relationship is concerned. I've tried to open up to him and I'm sure he tried his best also... I think you just don't get second chances most of the time. |

After sometime, I finally got around to updating my site. This is the new phase of seening, which brings the old design to a new level. The design is theme based, and as the subtitle suggests the themes are based on moods which influenced me during the creative process. This time around I got around using some new libraries and plug-ins such as jQuery, and the new Firefox extension PicLens to enhance the look and feel of the site. As with the previous design i used a lot of PNG's, and flash backdrops mixed with some style sheets magic with a sprinkle of creativity. There are only 2 themes at the moment, I've originally planned for 3 themes; I couldn't wait for the 3rd theme to be finished so i decided to put up the new design without it. |

I just sold my Liteon LH-20A1S drive yesterday for 1,000PHP and got a LG GSA-H20LS10 for 1,500; in the hopes that my media are still intact. To my surprise my discs worked perfectly on the new drive! I used to own a LG DVD-RW drive before but gave it to my cousin to shift to a SATA optical drive, this is where Liteon came into the picture. So yeah; I was ecstatic to find out that my anime stash was still in 1 piece, and that I got a free PNY 512mb mini SD card which came along with the drive. So now I have a spare memory card I can use on my digicam, which will come handy since my girlfriend loves taking pictures of our daughter. Moral of the story... LiteOn sucks! ^^v, but seriously I learned to be more optimistic in times of adversity, and to exhaust every possibility available to solve the impediment at hand. A person can only have so much bad luck in a day. |

Since the start of the new year thing just keep getting better (sarcastic), after a slew of unfortunately depressing situations yet another has struck again. Half of my anime collection which are burned on DVD's are gone; it seems that the media i used failed and wiped out almost 250 DVD's worth of data. The manufacture ID on the DVD's is INFOME R20 so for those of you collecting as well I strongly suggest to avoid this kind of media. As for me I guess this is the end of the road as far as anime collecting is concerned, I just can't take the loss, since I've been collecting for about 8 years now, and for it to just vanish into thin air literally is just down right fucking bullshit... I'm generally pissed off, since this is my only hobby. As if the shit that's happening to me right now isn't enough. I'd very much want to blame someone or something unfortunately for me There isn't any. I guess it's just one of those times when you seem to be a magnet for shit, and you just can't explain it. So yeah, I'm trying to eat as much bananas as i can to help me stay positive and optimistic. |

Perry birthday is coming soon, hopefully he has a grown wiser over the years and has become more stable in life. I'd like to take this chance to greet him an advance happy birthday since I most probably wont get a chance to greet him personally. My birthday is just around the corner as well, I'm turning 25 this coming May. I could safely say that I've grown mature in the past several years especially in the recent year when my daughter was born. I learned to deal with certain people and situations much better now; and I also gained closure in several aspects of my life. A significant one would be my relationship with my parents. There are just some things that were not meant to be, and will never happen in one's lifetime. Growing Old is Mandatory; Growing Up is Optional. For my parents they chose not to grow up ^^... well i guess that's better than regressing right? Atleast I got the bare minimum sanity required to function within the status quo. |

After several months of work, I finally got the ROI (Return Of Investment) for Kabuhayang Pinoy. The money wasn't that big but it covered my initial investment and a bit more. This is my first go using any ad revenue program, so it would be safe to say that I had a pleasant experience with it. Though my goals aren't monetary it is nice to know that the project can sustain itself financially. I have bigger plans for the site if it picks up in the coming months. I don't plan to make money of it as long as it can sustain itself I'll be content. Hopefully my future projects will have similar if not better success with these types of revenue generating avenues available to our disposal. Who knows one of us may make our first million off of these kinds of gigs ^^v |

It's been sometime since I last posted, I've been busy with work and trouble shooting my box for the past few weeks. I'm starting to get my b0x up to it's optimal running state, I just need to get a few more parts and I'm set. I got my EON card from Union Bank last week, I added it to my Paypal account last friday, now I can focus on maximizing these new tools for profit. Coincidentally a new branch of Union Bank opened almost beside our subdivision, in the same building where convergys is. So it's an added convenience, since I don't have to go far to conduct my business with them if need be. Been working on the new design as well, but work has been halted due to technical problems of my b0x. I hope to resume work on it next week once I get the replacement parts I need. The design process is coming along well though I feel that it still misses something, I just can't put my finger on it yet. Maybe I can figure it out once I work on it again. The new project name is entitled Mood Swing, and yeah it is still themed... similar to project typecast but only better. Been waiting to hear from an outsourcing company in Libis who still owes me 10,000PHP for a project I did for them last year. I seriously doubt that I'd get the remainder of my fee based on my experience working with them. Though it wouldn't hurt to remind them right? I sent the project manager an email yesterday, hopefully I get a positive reply in the coming days. |

I've come up with a few changes i'd like to implement within myself in the coming year. The list are as follows:
That basically sums up my list, it may be short but I see long term improvements in me if I manage to follow it. My ultimate goal in 2008 is to be happy and content, and hopefully influence my peers in the process. The biggest challenges come from within, and I must better myself in order to overcome future impediments. On my final note: the most important thing I've learned in 2007 is that it would be pointless comparing oneself to other people; everything we aspire is within ourselves it just takes some work to find it. |
