Perry arrived in Manila last Friday, March 14. I borrowed my aunt's car to meet him at the airport so that he could see his grand daughter for the first time. I accompanied them to duty free to do some last minute shopping, after which we went our separate ways. The entire time I was with Perry which was like an hour, I only uttered several phrases... "Yo!" when I saw him and " sige ingat, at salamat" when we were about to part ways.

I guess there's nothing to talk about anymore. We used to talk about financial matters when I was still asking money from him before. But lately I've been earning a substantial salary and getting to be more stable as the months pass. I've lost the need to ask financial assistance from him. Basically, that killed our relationship... kinda funny isn't it? Outside the perennial act of asking money from him, it's just small talk, mostly about nothing significant.

Now that he's here in the Philippines, I find it harder to talk to him, 'cause there's nothing to talk about. I'm also busy with my work, since my career has been picking up in the recent months. Personally I think this is the end of the road as far as our father-son relationship is concerned. I've tried to open up to him and I'm sure he tried his best also... I think you just don't get second chances most of the time.
