I just sold my Liteon LH-20A1S drive yesterday for 1,000PHP and got a LG GSA-H20LS10 for 1,500; in the hopes that my media are still intact. To my surprise my discs worked perfectly on the new drive! I used to own a LG DVD-RW drive before but gave it to my cousin to shift to a SATA optical drive, this is where Liteon came into the picture. So yeah; I was ecstatic to find out that my anime stash was still in 1 piece, and that I got a free PNY 512mb mini SD card which came along with the drive. So now I have a spare memory card I can use on my digicam, which will come handy since my girlfriend loves taking pictures of our daughter.

Moral of the story... LiteOn sucks! ^^v, but seriously I learned to be more optimistic in times of adversity, and to exhaust every possibility available to solve the impediment at hand. A person can only have so much bad luck in a day.
